Being the hometown of magnificent rice terraces, Mu Cang Chai is one of the rare towns in the Northen Vietnam to “make it” as a famous tourist attraction.

I visited Mu Cang Chai in mid-September 2019 when the rice was at its yellowest, the sky was at its bluest, and the human was at their happiness.

Although the passes and the roads to Mu Cang Chai are not adrenaline-boosted and breath-taking like those of Ha Giang or Ta Xua, I still love the feeling of riding a bike in between the mountains on one side and the cliff on the other.

All photos were shot on Nikon D600, retouched with Lightroom.
